Gebrüder Schmidt KG is funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Within the framework of the ERDF for Rhineland-Palatinate in the funding period 2014 to 2020 we receive financial support for the projects listed below. The planned measures are intended to reduce CO2 emissions by 138 tons per year.

Due to increased production capacity utilisation, the installation of a water recooling machine for cooling injection molds was necessary in 2017. In addition to conserving resources and increasing energy efficiency, it is equipped with winter relief (free cooling) and a sliding condensing temperature (GVT). The existing T8 lighting was exchanged for LED lighting with daylight control in the production hall this year.

Since 2018, the waste heat from the compressed air compressor system has been fed into the heating network.
