Girl’s Day and Boy’s Day
On 26.04.2018 it is time again for Girl’s Day and Boy’s Day, the future day for career orientation of young men and women. But what is this anyway? Boy’s Day is a nationwide day of action for young men to choose their career and studies according to gender. The aim is to promote the diverse interests and strengths of young men more strongly, as they often make use of traditional male professions such as automotive mechatronics or industrial mechanics when choosing a career. Boy’s Day is intended to give these young men an understanding of the variety of interesting career opportunities so that gender stereotypes can be broken down in the future.
The situation is similar with Girl’s Day. There are hardly any women who decide to enter traditional male professions such as IT, crafts, natural sciences or even technology after graduating from school. Girls’ Future Day is intended to show young women the opportunities that also exist for them in these professional fields. They have the opportunity to test their skills in the relevant professions and make their first contacts.
We, Gebrüder Schmidt KG, are also looking forward to once again giving young men and women the opportunity to gain insights into the diversity of our professional world on Boy’s and Girl’s Day this year.
Open day – school leavers watch out
Every year at the end of August/beginning of September the training day takes place, to which all future school leavers, parents and interested parties are cordially invited. On this day the companies of the industrial estate “Am Kreuz” open their companies and workshops to the public. Be there and get to know the many training opportunities at Gebrüder Schmidt!
Your education. Your future. We at Gebrüder Schmidt support and challenge our trainees (m/f) and dual students (m/f). Below you will find an overview of our wide range of training and study opportunities.
